In May, our growing team got together Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk for two days of inspiration. As a remote team we try to connect at least every couple of months to share ideas and experiences.
This was our first time staying in houses not hotel rooms. I think it worked so much better than hotels because we spent so much more time together outside of the formal bits. There were no shortage of inspirational views and places to sit and chat – instead of a hotel conference room.
Across the two days we had updates from the founders and innovation suggestions from each team member as to how we could improve our working processes.
It also meant we could cook for each other, so each house (we needed two) took it in turns to prepare a feast for the others. My house chose Mexican complete with rocket themed Pinata!
Future meetups could still be in hotels but we will be looking for other suitable locations across the country (not just Suffolk) for future connections.
