Monica Vinader – How SEO Became the Gold Standard

Best use of Search – Retail: Small

Monica Vinader Gold Standard

Monica Vinader celebrates women by making them feel individual and confident every day. Because luxury is a feeling no longer defined by expense or exclusivity, but by expression and exceptional quality of craftsmanship. Monica designs jewellery that empowers, uplifts and endures using only recycled gold vermeil, sterling silver and sustainably sourced natural gemstones, diamonds and pearls.

Last year our work ‘Gold Rush for Black Friday’ was shortlisted in the Drum Search Awards highlighting our work to increase visibility and sales from organic search around Black Friday 2020, at a time when physical retail stores were in lockdown.

This year, our campaign worked to further increase the visibility of Monica Vinader product ranges against a defined basket of non-brand terms including gold keywords, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings in time for Black Friday and into Christmas, and to increase the number of new customers (their most important metric) into the business from non-branded organic search.

Our strategy delivered incredible YoY growth against all of the client’s core goals. Monica Vinader now dominate commercial gold jewellery terms taking the domain from average position of page 4 on target gold product terms to an average position of 1-3.

Of our latest success, Monica Vinader’s Head of Acquisition said,

“Escaping Gravity has led our SEO strategy for 18 months and we’ve seen incredible improvements in rankings for our target keywords over that period, which has been reflected in strong commercial performance from SEO. Escaping Gravity has led our strategy through staying at the forefront of the industry, which has led to Google algorithm updates only having positive impacts upon our performance. From having limited SEO visibility when we began working with Escaping Gravity, we now have a very strong presence across our target keyword themes being reflected in strong SEO revenue growth year on year.”
